November 1, 2008 – Playa Vista, CA, USA – The Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association have formally opened their brand new $50 million training facility. In addition to executive offices, administrative spaces, conference rooms, multimedia room, locker room, and two regulation basketball courts, the 42,500-square-foot multi-story structure located on South Centinela Avenue contains a 2,600-square-foot strength and performance enhancement area featuring custom state of the art cardiovascular, speed, flexibility, balance, and weight training equipment. Also prominent within the complex are an athletic training area, steam and sauna facilities, extensive hydrotherapy area featuring a resistance pool with underwater treadmill, and hot/cold plunge pools.
Inspiri Wellness was contracted to design and oversee development of the conditioning facility for the NBA franchise. Executive Assistant of Basketball Operations Alice Shing of the Clippers stated: “This was a tremendous project to coordinate and bring in on time prior to the opening of the 2008-2009 season.
